50 million DH, 6,000 m² and 60 employees. The joint venture just inaugurated by the Moroccan group Lina Holding and the French industrialist Blondel has endowed itself with means to match its ambitions. Dubbed SFML, the French-Moroccan logistic company, it serves big names in the aeronautics industry, with Airbus at their head.
The Moroccan aeronautics sector is welcoming a new player. It is the French-Moroccan Logistics Company (SFML). Installed since last February at the Midparc of Casablanca, the SFML required an investment of 50 million DH. It is owned 51% by the French Blondel, the rest belonging to the Moroccan Lina Holding. The 60 employees working there are headed by Abderrahim Outass, CEO of SFML. Serving aerospace professionals, SFML's mission is to design global logistics solutions adapted to the specificities of the sector
This joint venture was inaugurated yesterday. For Moulay Hafid Elalamy, who presided over the ceremony, this investment is further evidence that Morocco has become a global aeronautics address. "The aerospace industry is enriched with more than ten companies each year. Some players complain about a price per square meter not optimized or interest rates still high enough. That is true. But if we look at the whole, Morocco is more and more competitive. The Kingdom has acquired a first-class quality label, "he declared.
" Spread over an area of 6,000 m², of which 3,000 covered, the site manages only Airbus aircraft parts " , said at the "Morning-Eco" Outass. Many of these pieces are delivered to Satys, a specialist in painting aircraft parts for processing. Moreover, this French industrialist inaugurated his plant of Midparc the same day. "The SFML has already reserved a second plot in anticipation of its future expansion," reveals its CEO.
The Lina Holding group started its activities in 1997. Its 360 employees operating from its 6 French sites and 2 Moroccans allow it to achieve a turnover of 30 million euros and a billion DH of turn-over. Over the years, the Moroccan group has specialized in shipping, warehousing, new technologies applied to logistics and aeronautical logistics. Created in 1956, the Blondel group is now a European leader in the supply chain. The industrial sector is organized around 3 areas of activity: road transport, warehousing and aerologistics. Among its customers, big names in cosmetics, food, mass distribution, chemistry and aeronautics. This family group has a turnover of 170 million euros and employs 1,800 employees spread over 22 sites in France and the Maghreb.
