To interpret this new title, Iggy Pop came to find Yara Lapidus in the studio for a duet that will surprise more than one. Encor Encor is a legendary title. It was composed years ago by Gabriel Yared for the film 37.2 in the morning of Jean-Jacques Beineix who decided to transform it into a song with the words of Yara Lapidus and to offer it to the mesmerizing voice of Yara Lapidus and of Iggy Pop. Together, Yara Lapidus and Iggy Pop form a new duet whose sensitivity, strength and sensuality are faithful to the original spirit of the film. Charmer and tender, Iggy Pop puts his rocky voice on the subtle words of Yara Lapidus. One and the other answer each other and resonate to create a singular and very contemporary harmony. With Encor Encor, we thus find a strong sound of the soundtrack of 37.2 in the morning, the cult film of Jean-Jacques Beineix (multiple Césars), for the first time in song. Encor Encor is an absolute rarity, its composer Gabriel Yared having for more than thirty years declined any proposal of adaptation.
