The price of a barrel of oil WTI fell this Thursday under the bar of 50 dollars, a first since October 2017, while the prospect of a surplus supply worries the markets for several weeks.

At around 10.15 GMT, the barrel of WTI for delivery in January was worth $ 49.81 in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), after falling around 08H40 GMT to 49.41 dollars, its lowest in almost fourteen months .
