Opening of a book fair on China in Dakar-French

Co-organized by the Information Bureau of the State Council of China, the Chinese Embassy in Senegal, and the Ministry Senegalese Culture, a book fair on China called "Perception of China", opened on July 19 at the Museum of Black Civilizations in Dakar. Special Representative of the Information Bureau of the State Council of China Mr. Zhang Yanbin, Senegalese Minister of Culture Abdou Latif COULIBALY, Ambassador of China to Senegal Mr. Zhang Xun , and personalities from the cultural and publishing circles, participated in the opening ceremony.

About 1589 Chinese books in French version of 310 categories have exhibited at the Museum of Black Civilizations, covering the political, economic and cultural fields of China. A special booth dedicated to the Chinese president's works, such as "Xi Jinping: China's Governance" (Volume 1 and Volume 2), as well as other books concerning excerpts from Chinese President's speeches, was installed in the Museum. All these books on the Chinese Dream, the path of development of China, the Chinese Communist Party, "the Belt and the Road", will allow the Senegalese people to better know and understand China.
