XALIMANEWS: The police of Parcelles Assainies got their hands on 29,000 euros (18 million 850,000 CFA francs) in counterfeit notes. The seizure was made last Sunday on a Mr. Sow. The latter was arrested in the company of a named I. Diallo who, he, held 200 euros (real).

That's not all. The police also found a false passport on Mr. Sow. Asked about the source of the document, the latter said he obtained it in exchange for 200,000 CFA francs from a "secretary" named N. M. Sèye and living in Ouakam.

Arrested in turn, the latter claimed to have acted on the instructions of his boss, a Nigerian owner of a multi-service in Ouakam.

The two men and the lady were brought to the prosecutor's office yesterday, Tuesday 27 November. They are being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy, an attempt to sell fake banknotes and monetary signs legal tender in Senegal and abroad, forgery and use of forgery.
