It was 4:30 pm when you and your colleague Sylvie decided to take a coffee break (more exactly the 6th of the day). Suddenly, a power cut plunges Paris into darkness. But what happened?

Bad surprise yesterday afternoon: Nearly 200,000 households and customers were deprived of electricity in the capital. The outage affected several districts, including the 2nd, 5th, 10th, 11th, 18th and 19th.

Stations (such as Gare du Nord) and hospitals were affected but had backup generators that have taken over. The Louvre has even been evacuated the breakdown finally ended around 5 pm.
