Shell (AS 🙂 announces today that it has signed a production sharing agreement for two offshore blocks in Mauritania.

The British oil giant will be in charge of the exploration, with a 90% stake, while the Mauritanian Company of Hydrocarbons and Mining Heritage (Mauritania's national oil company) will hold a 10% stake.

Shell is now considering setting up an office in Nouakchott and starting Exploration activities, starting with the analysis of existing seismic data and the collection of new information
