The General Direction of the RTS wishes to make the following clarifications to restore the truth on the facts evoked by the inter-union SYNPICS – CNTS RTS, during its press conference of this day, but also on the reality of his balance sheet which is largely positive:
1. The General Management has established a policy of permanent consultation based on dialogue in its relations with the inter-union of the RTS. This strategy is at the root of the peaceful social climate that has prevailed in the company for more than five years. She considers that the union is in her role of managing the claim and alerting. Also, it remains attached to this policy of social dialogue bringing stability and performance of the company.
2. Recurrent absences from the DG: All DG missions fall within the professional sphere, and are often supported by the partner or host organization.
It should also be noted that the time of management is not subject to a fixed schedule of actual presence in the office, but rather punctuated by emergencies related to the settlement of key files that the point of Strategic planning is essential for the smooth running of the business. A DG is rather judged on its results and in this respect, achievements in all fields are now visible in Dakar and in the regions.
3. RTS plots on the Diamniadio and Dagakholba sites: It is important to note in this regard that it was the DG who asked the President of the Republic – to whom we renew our deep gratitude – for the award of the RTS staff. the grounds of the former Issuer Center located in Rufisque, numbering one hundred and fifty (150), and since 2013.
The DG then tried to find with the State services additional land for the rest of the staff at the Diamniadio and Dagakholba sites. The Branch subsequently provided decisive financial support to the housing cooperative of the RTS agents for the purpose of obtaining the lease and the earthworks.
To date, the file is almost settled, despite the delay due to an administrative procedure related to a change of tutelage of the service that manages it.
4. IPM Debt & Payment Providers: It's just a cash-flow problem related to the concurrent payment of salaries, annual bonuses and bonuses from the 2018 Russia Football World Cup.
As a reminder, the The monthly amount of IPM repayments is around thirty (30) million. A payment in the amount of 63,178,689 CFA francs was made this Monday, July 23, for the months of March and April 2018. Compared with the balance, the General Management has already drawn up a plan for clearance which will be submitted to the inter-union at the next meeting.
5. RTS CMF RUSSIA 2018 Contract: This is a standard membership contract signed by all countries in sub-Saharan Africa. As far as exclusivity is concerned, ECONET notified RTS by letter in March that, in accordance with its signature commitments, it alone would broadcast the CMF RUSSIE 2018 in Senegal on the ground. The judicial process is continuing.
6. Order of Mission: A monthly payment of outstanding mission expenses will be instituted, depending on cash flow, until the stock is depleted.
As for the designation of persons to go on mission, it is strictly a matter of management authority.
7. DG's visit to the regions: A rehabilitation and equipment process has been initiated in all regional stations of the RTS and the DG is waiting for the end of the process, with the rehabilitation of some buildings, to go to the regions.
At this level, it is necessary to salute the enormous efforts – unprecedented – made in this area with the renewal of the production equipment of eleven (11) Regional Radios, as well as the renewal and consolidation of the entire radio broadcasting system, on the national territory.
8. Security enhancement: A comprehensive RTS security system is implemented with the decluttering of the surroundings, a video surveillance system already installed and an electronic security system for the premises being built.
