Freshly landed on the side of Fiorentina, Alban Lafont was pushed by his club not to go to the U19 Euro with the Blueberries to do all the summer preparation.
Supposed to be the U19 regular goalkeeper of the French team at the Euro, Alban Lafont did not show up at Clairefontaine and will not take part in the second training camp in preparation for the competition. According to L'Equipe, the former Toulouse goalkeeper was blocked by his new club, Fiorentina. The Florentine club wants his new rookie to fit in with his new environment by taking part in the whole rally and be on the bridge in case of participation in the next Europa League and his third qualifying round if AC Milan came to be officially excluded by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). A decision which therefore puts an end to Lafont's chances of participating in the Euro which runs from July 16 to 29 in Finland.
