Sunflower Festival: at the bedside of cancerous children

The 11the Sunflower Festival "For children with cancer", under the program "Dream of Thuy", has just been organized by the newspaper Tuôi Trẻ (Youth) of Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.

Many activities were organized on this occasion, such as the play "11 years to write the dream of Thuy"; "the Northern community works together to fulfill the wishes of children with cancer"; exhibition and sale of paintings made by them; blood donation; exchange with doctors and parents whose children have cancer …

In addition, the "Thuy Dream" program and volunteers visited and presented gifts to nearly 400 children treated in hospitals.

The program "Rêve de Thuy" has been organized since September 2007 by the newspaper Tuoi Tre from Ho Chi Minh City. It was launched by Lê Thanh Thuy, who is suffering from bone cancer, to provide care and support to children with cancer. This program has been held in Ho Chi Minh City 10 times and in Hanoi 8 times, with more than 34 billion dongs collected for small cancer patients.
