The breach has again claimed victims in the Langue de Barbarie. Indeed, a telescoping between two canoes in this part of the Senegal River, left three (3) dead and seven (7) wounded. The relief that was dispatched to the scene is actively seeking the missing, while the wounded and those who have lost their lives have been sent to the Saint-Louis regional hospital.
The breach that opened in 2013 as part of the flood control of 2003 has become a real cemetery with dozens of people who died trying to cross it.
