The Executive Committee of the African Confederation (CAF) will meet Friday in Accra (Ghana) to discuss the issue of holding the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, which has been debated for several months. This meeting will be held in the margins of the women's CAN, said a CAF official.
After reviewing the latest inspection reports, the study of security conditions, infrastructure, stadiums and accommodations, a decision will be made, without necessarily being announced in stride, said the same member of the body. Should Cameroon be ruled out, the CAF should re-launch a new bid process to nominate another host country. After failing to organize the 2026 World Cup, Morocco is a favorite. The competition is to be held for the first time in the summer, from June 15 to July 13, 2019.
