The Diourbel High School, the crossroads of the scientific cream

On Saturday, July 14th, students of the Diourbel High School of Scientific Excellence received awards of excellence honoring their work during the school year. The ceremony was chaired by the Minister of National Education and was sponsored this year by the Minister of Petroleum and Energy.

The latter did not fail to appreciate this great initiative from the Head of State and materialized by Serigne Mbaye Thiam. He points out that this project is timely, because with the discovery of gas and oil on Senegalese territory, the country must therefore prepare for the exploitation of these resources and it would be even better if it is his sons who 'occupy it, which requires a good training of young people. The mastery of scientific subjects is therefore a necessity and these young people who advocate excellence have embarked on this path to take control of the future of this country.

Thus, in the presence of state authorities, notaries of the region, their supervisors, the students received in turn awards of excellence under the proud eyes of their parents and guardians.
