The National Hydrocarbons Company (SNH) announced, Thursday by way of a press release, that 24.36 billion CFA francs representing the right of transit of Chadian oil from the Chad-Cameroon pipeline have been donated to the state coffers. for the first ten months of the year.From crude oil removal, there was a cumulative volume of 33.90 million barrels of crude oil, compared with 30.052 million barrels in the same period in 2017.

Increasing quantities that resulted in a transit fee of 24.36 billion CFA francs against 22.94 billion CFA francs for the same period last year.

According to the director general of the SNH, Adolphe Moudiki, who is also chairman of the Steering Committee for Pipeline Monitoring (CPSP), these activities focused on monitoring the removal of crude oil at the Komé-Kribi terminal (KK1). ) cover the period from 1 January to 31 October 2018.


"There is a significant increase in revenue from transit duties, mainly due to the increase in the quantities of crude oil transported over the period considered," the statement said.

Pursuant to the provisions of Amendment No. 2 of the Establishment Agreement of the Cameroon Oil Transportation Company (COTCO), operator of the Chad-Cameroon pipeline, the rate of transit duty was updated on September 30, 2018, from 1 , 30 US dollars to 1.32 US dollars per barrel, said the president of the CPSP.
