The number of French ultra-rich residing in Switzerland remained stable this year, but their total wealth has risen 13.5% year on year, says the annual survey of the 300 richest in Switzerland, released Thursday by Bilan magazine.
This year, 54 ultra-rich French people, the same number as in the last two years, are included in this ranking of persons or families whose net assets amount to at least 100 million Swiss francs (88 million euros). euros). The top three in the ranking of the richest French in Switzerland remain unchanged, but not in the same place.
Gérard Wertheimer, a shareholder of Chanel, is in first place with a fortune estimated between 18 to 19 billion Swiss francs. The luxury group, known for its Tweed tailors and its N ° 5 perfume, unveiled its financial results this summer for the first time in its history. The Castel family ranks second, with a fortune estimated at between 13 and 14 billion Swiss francs. The Castel group, active in wine, is also present in beer and bottled waters.
Patrick Drahi, a Franco-Israeli tycoon who chairs the telecom and media group Altice, is still in third place, with a fortune estimated between 6 to 7 billion Swiss francs.
