The Sun – Sponsors' Collection: Benno Leaders Call for Preparation of Operations

The Benno Bokk Yaakaar Leaders 'Conference, chaired on July 12 by President Macky Sall, positively appreciated the authorities' commitment to the sponsorship law. The leaders of the Bby coalition have called on the leaders to mobilize for the preparation of the sponsors 'collection operations.

In view of the 2019 Presidential Conference, the leaders' conference, after having expressed its pride in the coalition and its activists for having always won all the elections in which the coalition has participated since 2012, calls them to mobilization. This to prepare, in the discipline and the determination, the operations of collection of the godfathers in the days to come.

According to a communiqué of the conference of the leaders, reached at the writing, the acts posed by the president these last days have been greeted. Appreciating the vote by the National Assembly of the law N ° 2018-22 of 04 July 2018 revising the electoral code incorporating the provisions relating to sponsorship and its implementation, the conference of leaders welcomed, according to the document, the commitment of the Speaker of the National Assembly, the deputies of Bby's parliamentary group and the posture of all the leaders of the coalition. The leaders of Bby, the establishment of such an electoral system with the sponsorship system will certainly ensure our country holds regular elections, transparent and democratic.

Speaking on another topic, the leaders' conference "also welcomed the holding of the national consultation on the distribution of resources from the exploitation of oil and gas and congratulates President Macky Sall, this historic initiative which once again reflects its willingness to govern in dialogue and consultation ". In the same vein, the leaders of the Bby coalition welcomed the organization of the national conference on the development and attractiveness of the territories, "which draws very clearly the option of President Macky Sall to register irretrievably the reform of the territorial policy in the constitution of poles territories able to bring a sustainable development ". The communiqué continues that the Conference appreciates the measures taken by President Macky Sall to relieve herders whose livestock has been decimated by the bad weather that occurred in the last period.

Considering the decision of the Court of Justice of the Cedeao, the Leaders' Conference, denounced campaigns of misinformation and intoxication to distort the content and scope of the decision of the Court. For the leaders, this Court never asked for the release and the cessation of the prosecution of the defendants.
