A Twitter campaign urging consumers to boycott Walmart Inc. led the retailer to remove certain items from its online marketplace that favored the removal of President Donald Trump.

was in trend in response to a series of T-shirts unveiled Monday night with the message "Impeach 45" on the front. The t-shirts were still available on the site Tuesday at prices ranging from $ 16.95 to $ 41.95 for a long-sleeved version
"These items were sold by third-party sellers in our open market, and were not offered directly by Walmart. "said a spokeswoman for Walmart. "We are removing these types of items pending the review of our market policies."
Most T-shirts were made by Old Glory, a Connecticut company that makes T-shirts for music and entertainment events, but were also offered by City Shirts and Hanes Brands Inc.

However, even a quick search of the Walmart site also finds a wide range of products that feature the slogans "Make America Trump's "Great Again" and "America First", including baseball hats, t-shirts, hoodies and even underwear. the message "I heart Trump" and "Trump won, overcome it."
These items were manufactured by Rogue River Tactical, a sporting and outdoor sporting goods company based in Cottage Grover, Oregon, CP, W4W, which sells clothing, baby items, home improvement products and items sports and outdoor; and Brisco Brands, a clothing brand based in Ramseur, North Carolina, among others.
Walmart stock shrugged to trade higher and closed 0.5%. Walmart shares fell 14% in 2018, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average
DJIA, -0.54%
fell 1.4% and the S & P 500
SPX, -0.49%
gained 2.2%.
