Operators are preparing for the arrival of the 5G and at SFR, this will go through a transitional phase next year with the increase of 4G network flows.

SFR-4G

The operator with the red square has announced that from next year, its customers will enjoy a maximum throughput of up to 1 Gbps on its 4G + network. In a statement, the operator indicates "Looking forward, SFR is on its way to 5G, the next generation of mobile telephony, to equip the first cities in 2019 and the planned commercial launch in 2020"

SFR still wants to be one of the first French operators to offer 5G packages with the aim of marketing by 2020. To do this, SFR is already conducting tests: "SFR has successfully lit the 5G in real conditions in Paris during the inauguration of its most innovative telecoms-media headquarters in Europe, the Altice Campus, last month".

For now, the operator will generalize a little more 4G + which already rises to 500 Mbit / s in some major cities. SFR specifies that this standard will concern a growing number of cities next year. More cities and therefore more flow, users should navigate.
