Women's World Basketball Preparation: Sheikh Sarr publishes a list of 24 players

Dakar, July 27 (APS) – Senegal national women's basketball coach Sheikh Sarr has announced a list of 24 players to prepare for the World Cup category, scheduled for September 20 to September 30 in Spain, the Senegalese Basketball Federation (FSB) reported Friday.

Of the 24 players convened, 11 play in Senegal, four in France, one in Portugal, five in Spain, two in the United States and one without a club.

The FSB, however, has not yet unveiled the preparation schedule of the Lionesses, housed in Pool D at the Women's World Basketball Championship, along with the United States, Latvia and China. [19659002]

The Women's World Basketball Championship will bring together sixteen nations, including Senegal and Nigeria, the representatives of Africa. The sixteen participating teams are divided into four teams.

The first team in each group is directly qualified for the quarter-finals, with the teams ranked 2nd and 3rd in each pool to play qualifying games for the quarter-finals.
