The company recently provided instructions on its partner channels to encourage Windows 7 users to upgrade to Windows 10 before the end of support, so an approach even more aggressive will be applied in early 2019.
ChannelEye's report reveals that Microsoft wants partners to know that support for Windows 7 is coming to an end and that an aggressive campaign is expected to increase the number of Users who will migrate to Windows 10.
Windows 7 is currently the most prevalent operating system and if Microsoft fails to hire users to update their operating system during the next 18 months, the "week" could become a new Windows XP.
According to external search data, Windows 7 remains the top choice of desktop users, with a 43% share, while Windows 10 has a market share of about 34%
