The Monument Commission and the names of the squares and streets of the Belgrade Assembly today adopted the initiatives for the construction of the monument to King Alexander I Karađorđević and the appointment of Kosta Square Šonde in Dorćol.
The initiative for the erection of monuments to King Alexander has been submitted by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and he will be placed on the plateau between the General Secretariat of the President Republic and the Belgrade Assembly.
The Commission also adopted the initiative of the "Donji Dorćol" Association for the nomination of Kosta Łonde Square at the corner of Tsar Uros and Thessaloniki Streets.
The Monuments Commission and the names of squares and streets of the city assembly also approved the municipality of Mladenovac for the installation of the monument to the despot Stefan Lazarevic in the central part of the city park, announced Beoinfo.

On this occasion, Vucic said that most citizens of Serbia wanted a status quo with regard to the settlement of the Kosovo and Metohija issue, but the Albanians want to complete their status and are willing to pay for it at any cost.
