BELGRADE – In many schools in Serbia, tomorrow will not be the first time in the morning and afternoon, because of a strike warning four representative unions of education.
Prospectors demand an increase of 14.6% and further work on salary grades.
Jasna Jankovic, president of the Union of Education Workers of Serbia, said that they were demanding the introduction of the payroll and classes, so the increase of this collapse would be 14.6% for educators because they lag behind those in the public sector.
"After deferring the introduction of salary scales, we are asking for what we have agreed and continue negotiations on salary scales," she said.
Slobodan Brajkovic, president of the Union of Education Workers in Serbia, said that the increase of 14.6% had been promised by the Ministry of Finance and that they were not satisfied with the announced increase of 9%.
According to the demonstration, on December 11, four unions will hold a demonstration in front of the Serbian government, and even these hours will be reduced to 30 minutes in schools.
The strike is being organized by the Union of Education Workers of Serbia (USPRS), the Union of Education Workers of Serbia (SOS) and the Union of Education Workers of Serbia ( DSPS).
