BELGRADE – On Tito's TV, on Hey Sloveni radio, and at your house ceremoniously as for the New Year – on a table of meze, tea, pastry and cakes and of course reluctant!
In a country that has long since disappeared – Yugoslavia, this holiday was among the favorites. He fell precisely at the time of the pig hole and the table was full of meat deacons. If there was snow and snow, the students were luckier. The happiest were one of the champions who received pioneer scarves a day or two on the eve of the holidays.
This is how it celebrated and celebrated November 29 – Republic Day, in a country that no longer exists, and at that time, it was a very big holiday. …
This holiday has been celebrated for almost six decades as a national holiday of the SFRY and was officially abolished more than ten years after the dissolution of this community in November 2002.
This date entered history on November 29, 1943, during the holding of the second session of the AVNOJ in Jajce, during which the decision was taken on the federal structure of Yugoslavia, and the Royal Government was forbidden to return to the country.
On that day, Josip Broz Tito, Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia and Supreme Commander of the National Liberation Army and detachments of supporters of Yugoslavia, was proclaimed Marshal of Yugoslavia.
Pioneering oath
Today, when I become a pioneer,
I give the honorable word pioneer
that I will teach and work diligently,
respect the parents and the elderly,
and be a faithful and honest friend,
who holds this word.
That I will love our autonomous homeland
Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia,
that I will develop fraternity and unity
and ideas for which Tito was fighting;
that I will appreciate all the peoples of the world
who want freedom and peace!
The last time this holiday was celebrated in Serbia in 2001, it was removed by Parliament only in mid-November of the following year.
