The mayor of Zubin Potok, Stevan Vulovic, is the only one of the four mayors of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo and Metohija to have officially resigned to the Ministry of Local Government of Kosovo (MALS), reports the portal KoSSev.

The mayors of Severna Mitrovica (Goran Rakic), Zvecana (Vucina Jankovic) and Leposavic (Zoran Todic) have submitted their resignations to the mayor's office, with the exception of Vulovic, but they have not yet presented them to MALS . According to the law on local self-government, in case of resignation of a mayor, elections must be held within 45 days, as they are chosen by direct vote of the citizens. The ministry said they would continue to coordinate their activities with the cabinet of the President of Kosovo and that they would only schedule elections for the Zubin Potok municipality.
