"We want Belgrade to get a new sporting symbol, a modern arena, a modern stadium," Udovicic told the Serbian parliament, in response to MP Marijan Risticevic's question about the construction of the stadium.

Udovicic said he wanted to participate in the final phase of the Champions League in Belgrade in order to compete for the organization of the European and World Football Championships.

"We want to increase the number of foreign tourists coming to our country through such investments.Our desire is to strengthen our selection through the construction of the national stadium, to improve the training conditions of our athletes and prepare our athletes in our country, they go abroad, "Udovicic said.

He said that "the analysis: the effects" has shown that the place of manufacture of such a stadium attracts many other investments.

"We are investing in our present and our future, investing in health because, through sport, we promote healthy lifestyles," said Udovicic.
