The first factory of the Korean company Esex Jurop started its activities in Zrenjanin, only eight months after the laying of the foundation stone.
The factory will produce enamelled copper wires. Before the opening ceremony, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, as well as the Minister of Economy, Goran Knezevic, the Governor of the Province, Igor Ivorovic, and the Mayor of Zrenjanin, Cedomir Janjic, are returned to the airport.
The president said that he was very happy that another plant is open because it is of great importance to our country.
"I'm very happy, because only 6 months ago, there was a meadow and people admired us when we said that there was a hope that in six months we would open a plant that will employ 160 people and will contribute 132 million euros of export contribution, "he said. Vucic added:
"What makes me very happy, is that many Korean companies are planning to arrive and invest in Serbia. The arrival of Korean investors means a new phase of our development, "said Vucic.
"The state has helped a significant investment, it only accounts for one third and its value exceeds 30 million euros, in order to make Serbia work even more so that our people have a future and think in the future of their children.The average net pay in this plant will be 90,000 This is known more above average and I want more plants of this type, "said the president.
He started the happy work for the employees and management and thanked the Korean investors for coming to our country.
The president also pointed out that "in the third quarter of this year, the highest employment rate in its history or the lowest unemployment rate in history.
"And let's just make a small contribution so that we can be proud," he said.
Vucic said that it obliged us to preserve peace and stability, to fight for the economic progress of our country, and that this could be done with the support of investor-friendly friends and the diligent work of our workers. .
The foundation stone of this plant was laid in March this year in the presence of the President of Serbia, representatives of the state summit, the city of Zrenjanin and the company Eseks.
More than 30 million euros have been invested in the construction of the factory and it is planned to employ about 160 people in the factory.
