Facebook could finally allow users to more easily manage one of the biggest problems in the service – notifications. The company is testing a new feature that will allow users to temporarily disable all notifications on multiple devices, suggesting a new screen capture created in the beta version of the app.
The function adds button "do not disturb". like a notification flip on / off in the Facebook application. Matt Navarra, a digital media consultant who noticed the feature, also points out that the social network tests "do not disturb" delays so that alerts can be turned off for a while.
It is unclear what is the current size test and if Facebook plans to activate the function for everyone. The company declined to comment on the existence of a function, but it is also common to test new features for a smaller number of users.
This of course does not mean that the Californian company will completely remove annoying notifications, which will continue to wait for us on Facebook, and probably on Instagram.
