Members of the Cultural and Artistic Society "Branko Cvetkovic" were expelled from their premises at Milos Pocerac Street 10 on a six-year-old order on Wednesday.

The court executives, accompanied by the police, have registered the property, trophies and costumes of one of the most prosperous cultural and artistic societies in Serbia. Folklore people were expelled from their homes after 75 years.

– They expel us on the basis of a verdict six years ago, when the Independent Union of Serbia owned the building – the story of Jovan Sijački, the president of the company. the ownership of the building is transferred to the Republic of Serbia, so they do not have the right to expel us. The problem is that the cadastre has not yet cursed it, and the authors have found an old certificate that the union is the owner.

and the girls of the KUD "Cvetkovic" on Wednesday were sitting in front of their rooms all day long. Despite the urgent resolution of the order of the ombudsman to stop the expulsion, they could not enter their premises. Representatives of KUD "Cvetkovic" went on Wednesday to the city's lawyer, Katarina Zezelj, who sent them to the state attorney general. The legal representative of the Republic of Serbia has issued a proposal for the abolition and suspension of the expulsion of "Cvetkovic". A folklore event is scheduled for Thursday.
