I said that I felt sympathy for the Serbian football team that played Mundial on TV "Oranjuz". And it's true. I am a fan of Serbia because we are a Balkan country and I am a big fan of the Red Star. After that, the situation for me on national television, where I worked, but also in my life, was not good. Many Albanian fanatics and their supporters were angry at me and threatened to ban me from commenting in the future by playing in the national team.

Thus, for "Novosti", Kosta Grilo, one of the most famous sports commentators of Albania, the attack for having "sympathized" with the Serbian footballers and for the closure " of the Albanian national television channel TVSH. He has been on public television since 1991 and only commented when the national team occurs.

– At the time when I made this statement, for a private television channel, I had already left national television for problems with the editor of the sports section of RTSH – says Grillo. – In addition, the situation after this one was not very good, because of the Albanian fanatics who were angry, who threatened and wrote that it was forbidden to comment on the continuation of representation. Even many of Kosovo were angry because I was telling the truth. Especially when I said, in two or three of their televisions, during the former SFRY, almost all the inhabitants of Kosovo were celebrating the Partizan, especially at the time when the legendary played Fadilj Vokri.

The famous Albanian sports commentator "does more" than the Champions League on cable television. So, two days ago, he commented on the match between Red Star and Napoli.

– Before the 1990s, many people in Albania were ardent supporters of former SFRY clubs, such as Red Star, Partizan, Dinamo, Hajduk, Vardar or Buducnost, Grilo says. – I love Dulet Savic and I encourage the Red Star. My generation in Albania enjoys watching football, basketball or volleyball when she played against teams from the former Yugoslavia. And above all, we like Yugoslav music. Politics, however, has done everything possible, believes Grillo. According to him, it is certain that there is a fanatic in Serbia, as well as in Albania, who do not like it.

– I think that at least 70% of Albanians have no problem with Serbia and the Serbs – says Grillo. – Politics is politics and I do not like it. But my position in football since 1986 has allowed me to build good friendly relations with the Balkans. I have a lot of good friends among Serbian footballers and coaches. Often, I came to Belgrade and no one, no matter where I was, was a problem, whether in hotels, cafes or restaurants. Some of them worked and played in Albania and had no problem.

The last time he commented on the match in Belgrade in 2014, at the Partizan Stadium, between Serbia and Albania.

I know the problem between Kosovo and Serbia. I hope that it will be possible to find a common and peaceful solution for the sake of the future. I do not want to be at war in the Balkans anymore. It's now the time of peace, "Grillo said.
