In Serbia, the cartoons of Predrag Koraksic Koraks and Dusan Petricic are banned again – this time in Kraljevo.
As a sign of protest against the refusal of the municipal administration to give them space to hold the exhibition, local Front activists crossed the royal center carrying caricatures.
With the representation "Anti-Dictatorship Cartoons", they wanted to allow citizens to watch the caricatures of Koraks and Petricic.
According to one of the activists of "Local Front" Vladimir Marovic, they communicated some time ago with a request from the municipal administration of Kraljevo, in which they requested that one of the halls given to them. Marovic said that they received the answer that the room was occupied, but since then, they have not yet received an answer, although they have sent requests on several occasions.
"We tried to contact the municipal authorities by phone, but we could not talk to anyone, just to show that the cartoon is an art project. art is suppressed, it is about suppressing freedom and where freedom is the dictatorship is at work, so citizens have been forced to fight for their rights in the street, and c & # 39; that's why we organized this exhibition on the street itself, "said Marovic.
The drawings will be exhibited at the local front office in Kraljevo for the next few days.
