It is not known, however, that the sign only arrived in Germany, but also in the Karađorđević dynasty

ORDENING The stars and the white eagle of Karadjordje, both equipped with swords, as well as the Yugoslav crown and Saint Sava, on December 14, will be located at the 65th auction of the house Andreas Tis in Kirheim. Before his death, King Peter II Karađorđević had entrusted the decorations to his friend, friend Philippe Mayne Weber. After Peter's death, when they became his property, he sold them to collector Robert Eliot. It is not known, however, not only that the sign arrived in Germany, but also to whom it belonged from the Karađorđević dynasty.

As indicated in the catalog of the German auction house, the starting price of the order kit is 30,000 euros. It included several personal items and letters, but also a trophy that these four awards were awarded to the United States in 1977 by the award for best decor.

These letters raise a doubt on the chest because one of them quotes Peter II: "I sincerely acknowledge that I do not remember who exactly belonged," referring to his grandfather, the king Peter I and the father of Alexander Alexander. . In the opinion of our historians, the first two orders, since they contain swords and were awarded in the form of courage for the merit of the war, have almost certainly belonged to Peter I. The other two could belong to King Alexander or his son Peter II.

Dragomir Acovic, President of the Crown Council, claims to be completely different.

– As the four ornaments are part of a set, I'm sure they did not belong to King Alexander – explains Acovic.

– Be aware that all decorations have small dimensions, which means that they are designed to be worn by a boy or a woman. Therefore, I exclude any possibility that the sign may belong to King Peter the First. Moreover, King Peter II suffered from health problems when he wrote in a letter not knowing who he would belong to. Even the dimensions of the decoration say that they belonged to him. The star of the Karadjordje Order, Peter II, continues a portrait painted by Paja Jovanovic. This order has been auctioned for the third time, and it's not new.

Confirm who is the owner

This order is often offered individually by the auction houses. When they all appear, they cost 30,000 euros – explains Zoran Ilić, president of the Serbian Numismatic Society. – It is extremely important that the State determine as soon as possible whether the owner of the collection is Petar Prvi Karadjordjevic and, if so, it will certainly have to be purchased.
