Although designed as a budget phone, it brings a lot of things that are usually reserved only for a higher price class.
The first thing to notice is a large screen, a diagonal of 5.7 inches, with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It's a Full HD Max Vision screen that shows colorful colors and fine details. A ratio of 18: 9 pages was used, and it covered a very large percentage of the front, with minimal edges. The screen is capable of displaying up to 113% of the SRGB color gamut with excellent color accuracy, which has been one of the strengths of all Motorola phones for years. .
The attractive and slightly rounded design of the phone is also complete. The back of the phone is 3D tempered glass (Gorilla Glass 3), which helps among other things to better capture signals in all conditions. From an ergonomic point of view, we have nothing to complain about: the dimensions and shape of the screen, as well as the phone at hand, are at the highest level. A space for the fingerprint sensor is left at the bottom of the front. Its location could be discussed because some users are used to being on the back of the phone, but it still depends on the affinity of each user individually. We are very used to this kind of variation and we have to say that it suits us.
Like most other manufacturers, Motorola goes slowly but surely to the USB Type-C connector. From its Z series, this connector is now lowered in the G series of the phone. But unlike the Z series, the 3.5mm headphone connector, located next to the USB port, was not ejected on this model.
As it was a mid-range model, it had to be something to save. This is done here by not applying IP protection against water. However, the phone has a special nano layer that protects the rain screen, but is not completely waterproof.
In this price range, it is really rare to find a phone with two cameras, and one of them is the Motorola Moto G6. The main 12 MP rear camera, "enhanced" with an additional 5 MP camera, which provides portrait photography with a blurry background. Of course, the degree of blur can be adjusted by software even after taking a picture. One of the useful novelties, especially for business users, is the ability to scan documents, which will "extract" textual parts of the image and save them in editable form, which is very useful in practice. The basic settings of the camera are such that the pictures at the start are well balanced, even in low light conditions. The front camera has a resolution of 8 MP and of course adapts to popular auto-photographs.
Moto G6 has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of memory for data storage (expandable up to 256GB). All this in combination with an eight-core Snapdragon 450 processor is more than enough for the most demanding applications. During the work, we did not notice any stumbling or "stammering", regardless of the fact that someone thinks that for the current conditions of 3 GB of RAM is relatively modest. After all, a good performance was also confirmed by Antutu Benchmark, who scored 58,124 points.
The phone has a built-in 3000 mAh battery, which ensures full battery life without worrying about the phone stopping. We also appreciate the fact that a special quick charger "TurboPower" is also included in the package, which, within a few minutes of charging, will provide several additional hours of operation. And it's precisely this super-fast charging capability that has proven to be more than practical in the phone's everyday use.
If we take a look at this phone, we can say that Motorola has once again reached its target. She introduced a budget phone that will satisfy the greatest number of users in terms of performance and design.
