Microsoft has sent a warning to Office users, especially in Europe, warning of caution when opening attachments in emails.

Notably, Microsoft has noted a number of hacker attacks caused by the vulnerability of the Office software package, which should have been corrected during the update in 2017.
But as some companies have not made this update, the computers of their employees have become vulnerable.
Hackers have deemed it sufficient to send an email containing an infected RTF document that will infect the computer as soon as the recipient opens it. After that, a "Trojan Horse" is installed on the computer, a virus programmed to connect to a predefined domain.
Although Microsoft points out that this domain has been removed, it is advisable for users to install a security patch and thus protect their computers.
Users who have previously installed a security patch under CVE-2017-11882 (officially marked by Microsoft), as well as those using Microsoft Office 365, have no reason to worry.
For now, this campaign is the most widespread in Europe, but Microsoft warns that it is not excluded or even in other parts of the world.
