Luka Ćelović Trebinjac, one of the richest Serbs of the early 20th century, who left almost all his belongings to the University and a man who is responsible for the European look of Savamala, should have a good note in the capital. Yesterday, there were interviews at Stari Dvor where Goran Vesic, Deputy Mayor, welcomed the representatives of the Trebinje Association "Jovan Ducic in Belgrade".

Ivona Jevtic, secretary of culture of the city of Belgrade, was present at the event, reports Beoinfo.

– Before the First World War, Ćelović and between the First and Second World Wars worked hard on the development of Belgrade. His name is related to the construction of Savamala, but also the fact that this part of the city became the business center of the pre-war Belgrade. Celovic left all his belongings at the University of Belgrade, which, thanks to him and other benefactors, has become one of the richest European universities.
