In Florida, an eighth-grade teacher clashed with her school after being she was fired because she gave her students who failed the homework.

Diana Tirado, 52, was fired two months later.

According to media reports, there is a "zero to zero" policy in this school, which Tirado raped after a group of students failed to pass one of the main tasks of the school year.

The teacher says her parents complained about the task she entrusted to the children and criticized her because she had been working too hard for the eighth grade.

I was invited to the director's office because the parents were not indulgent with me. It destroyed my life for weeks – Tirado said in an interview.

Then the director informed about the "without a zero" policy.

I was not allowed to give anything less than 50 – she stressed.

However, after a group of students did not submit any work, she concluded that they were not earning points and gave them zero.

While Tirado claims to have been fired for this policy, the school emphasizes that it does not exist.

A so-called zero compensation policy is an example of one of the most recent trends in parenting known as the "participation trophy," which claims that rewarding children for their participation increases their self-esteem.

Tirado is one of those who criticize this.

We make monsters from kids. We have generations that they think should be paid only because they have appeared, it's not at all true – she stressed.
