Besides the punctual aid of 3,000 dinars, there is a possibility, on one condition, that the eldest enjoys an increase in annuity by 2019.
For the moment, a certain one-time payment of assistance to pensioners of 3,000 dinars. The Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans Affairs and Social Affairs announced yesterday that a one-time assistance of 3,000 retirees would be paid Friday, November 30.
He told the RTS that everyone might not get it the same day, claiming that the aid payment would start on November 30th.
However, in addition to the one-time payment, the issue of pension increases in the coming year is raised.
As announced yesterday the Minister of Finance, Siniša Mali, to increase pensions over the next year is that the economic growth of Serbia in 2019 will be between 3.5 and 4%, which, according to estimates of citizens and professionals, is not impossible. The Tax Council recently estimated that Serbia's economic growth will be 4% next year. At the same time, the International Monetary Fund was a little more pessimistic in the forecasts, announcing an increase of 3.5%. Such gross domestic product growth in our country is expected at the World Bank, but also at the Ministry of Finance.
If these predictions were to be realized, 1.7 million retirees in total could expect an increase over the next year, which would constitute the fifth increase in pensions since 2014, the year in which the state Legally reduces the earnings of the elderly. Previously, in November, retirees received a steady increase in their pensions. However, many were not satisfied with this amount, as those with the lowest income had the smallest increase. In practice, retirees whose pensions were below 32,000 dinars gained 5%. Thus, 100,000 pensioners received an increase of only 500 dinars, while 260,000 pensioners benefited from an increase of 1,000 dinars to 1,250 dinars. Retirees with the largest pensions benefited from the strongest growth, reaching 22.5%.
Last year, 5,000 dinars
Retirees received one-time assistance of 5,000 dinars in the previous two years in November. The average pension in Serbia today is 26 320 dinars.
