Ruzic: ban on employment in the public sector by the end of 2019

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Branko Ružić, said the proposed amendments to the law on the method of determining the maximum number of employees in the public sector would prolong the The application of this law by the end of 2019, until public service employment is banned.

Ruzic, explaining proposed pay laws, said the deadlines from which the systematic and special wage laws in some parts of the public sector began to apply, as of January 1, 2020.

As he said, the changes have been conditioned by the need for additional financial analysis of the transition to the new pay system.

The proposed amendments to the Civil Service Act define the concept of competencies in the human resources management process, which includes a body of knowledge, skills, attitudes and abilities that the public servant must possess, that shapes his or her behavior and allows 39 achieve the expected results workplace.
