Data from the Statistical Yearbook of Health of Serbia (published by the Institute of Public Health, Dr. Milan Jovanović Batut) show that every year, five people die diabetes and that's the rate dying of this disease in the last 10 years increased by 8.4%.
Diabetes is the fifth most important disease in Serbia. It is manifested by high blood sugar, high blood sugar and the cells remain hungry. There are about 710,000 adults and a third of them do not even know that they are affected, so they do not heal.
– Diabetes affects 465,000 people, or 8.1% of the adult population, while 245,000 people do not have diagnosed diabetes and are not treated. Notably, because of mild symptoms, type II diabetes, which accounts for more than 90% of people with disabilities, can circulate continuously for years, according to Batut.

The first symptoms of diabetes are frequent urination and an irresistible desire to penetrate into all types of liquids, the smell of urine and the breath of acetone. The symptoms of this disease are an excessive need for food, then a feeling of exhaustion, weight loss, vision problems, frequent infections, tingling and loss of sensation in the hands and feet, sensitive gums, skin problems.
At the risk of contracting diabetes, they are mostly obese, then those who consume a lot of sweets, white sugar and gaseous juice, those who do not do enough physical activity, who are stressed. Otherwise, the annual treatment of diabetic patients with Serbia is 230 million euros, or 490 euros per patient.
