The Czech automaker Škoda is preparing for the first year of the new generation of Rapid Rapid, with which he will try to compete for the "King" of the Class C Golf.

SKODA's marketing director, Alan Fejvi, revealed that Rapid would get a new name, a radically different technology and a completely different design.
"With the current Rapid Spaceback, we have not been able to persuade people to be a reliable candidate in the segment. The new Rapid will not interfere with Octavius", says Fejvi .
Škoda expects to sell twice as many new Rapids the first year of the current model, which in 2017 sold 66,512 units in Europe.
The new Škoda Rapid will be built on the Volkswagen MQB AO platform used by Seat Ibiza and VW T-Roc.
