Shortly after the introduction of the USB 3. 2 standard, the USB 4 standard was introduced, and we can see that it looks like a fast "Tanderbolt 3". What can we expect in the future from USB standards?

Even though the final features will not be presented until the second half of this year, we know that the USB 4 should support transfer speeds of up to 40 gigabytes per second.
"Intel" developed the first Thunderbolt interface developed with the company "Epl" in 2011.
This should have been a faster and more versatile interface supporting a multitude of protocols. For example, you can use Tanderbolt cables and devices to connect hard disk drives.
"Intel" says that USB 4 will increase compatibility between USB Type C products and make it easier to connect devices.
On the other hand, the latest high-end processor "sneak dragon 855" does not fully support the USB 3.2, let alone the USB 4, so that it is unlikely that all these benefits can be used in the near future.
The emergence of the first devices supporting the USB 4 standard is expected only towards the end of 2020. It takes about 18 months before the first laptops supporting this standard appear. This will look like a USB C (port) port, but the bit rate will be twice as fast as the current one.
The USB 4 will support charging speeds of 100 W, while a maximum data rate of 40 gigabytes per second will only be possible with certified cables.
The new standard will provide sufficient bandwidth for two-screen video content with 4K resolution or 5K display.
The USB 4 must also be compatible with devices that support USB 3, 2 and 1 standards. Of course, the transfer speed will decrease with the change of port. You can not expect that, if you place USB 4 on a USB 3 device, the transfer speed doubles.
The USB 4 seems to be a great way to start: an input, a cable for absolutely all that means and the HDMI output will be too high.
