The Commercial Court of Kragujevac has ordered the suspension of the bankruptcy of the Paracin Serbian glassworks, preventing further destruction of the plant and the pumping of money in accordance with the plans of Bulgarian tycoon Cvetan Vasilev.

Thus, the Commercial Court of Kragujevac issued a decision Monday on the suspension of the previous procedure for bankruptcy in Serbian glassware: this decision was reported on the electronic map of the Commercial Court, signed by the President of that jurisdiction and by the bankruptcy judge Branislav Jovovic, who presided over the proceedings from the beginning. It is the end of this process which lasted several years in different ways.

It is worth noting that the procedure was completed after the owner of the bankruptcy himself – the company "Veksilum Balkan" – withdrew his proposal to open a bankruptcy proceeding. The controversial company, about which Blic had already written as a branch of the commercial conglomerate of Bulgarian tycoon Cvetan Vasilev, had so far insisted on bankruptcy being declared, in order to recover, among other things, 47 million dollars. 39 euros of alleged debt. A new leadership, formed after Vasilev's men were ricerized, filed a criminal complaint against the management of the company and the former management for introducing a glassmaker into a fake bankruptcy. The Bureau of Organized Crime acts on the request.

This court decision gives hope that the agony of the former real economic giant will be solved positively. Employees of Paraćin glassworks (some of whom were illegally left out of work, which is why this company sues) lasted more than a year. Veksilum filed on 18 April a decision to open bankruptcy for alleged debt, whose interest rate was 47 million euros. In order to determine the existence of a cause of bankruptcy, on May 4, the court initiated preliminary bankruptcy proceedings so that, after the first abolished decision, bankruptcy was opened on September 20 of last year. The Commercial Court of Appeal quashed this decision on appeal and sent it back to Kragujevac for reopening. The court of Kragujevac opens the bankruptcy, but a new closing of March 7 follows.

After that, a serious debate ensued in the Kragujevac court, where Judge Jovovic asked (and received from the National Bank) further evidence of fraud committed by Vasilev and his associates, who requested to be exempted. However, to everyone's surprise, the bankruptcy proposal was withdrawn.

About the machinations of the magnate Cvetan Vasilev "Blic" has published more than 10 texts since the beginning of this year.

In this series, we have dealt with the financial mistreatment for which the Bulgarian tycoon has been indicted in his country, of the manner in which he fled to Serbia (where he continues to seek political asylum). ), as well as political relations with former President Tomislav Nikolic and his close associates. Will they be suitable for this work?

The workers are released, the machines are sold

On the day of the bankruptcy opening on September 20 last year, 800 glassware workers were virtually fired. Some of them were sent back to the factory under a contract of engagement, but a good deal of them were sued by the company. In addition, the situation in the glass factory is catastrophic: as announced by Blic, the new management has carried out an extraordinary inspection of the machinery, which confirmed that of the 20 stoves purchased in the 1970s and 1980s only two remained in service.
