The British supercar maker McLaren unveiled the name of its model, successor of the legendary F1, announced as the first "Hyper-GT" in the world.
Up to now, this project was known as code BP23, and now has its official name – Speedtail .
The Speedtail will be a new McLaren flyer, a model that will take over the position of P1 and Senne's company leader in the "ultimate" series.
The Vokinga company has already announced that the Speedtail will be the fastest McLaren in history, surpassing the record that has established F1 for three years and 4.8 kilometers per hour for 20 years.
The McLaren Speedtail will have a top speed of 391 km / h, 41.8 km / h faster than P1 and 51.4 km / h faster than Senne.
The British manufacturer will manufacture only 106 Speedway units, and all are already reserved for about $ 2 million.
McLaren will officially introduce the Speedtail to the public at the end of the year, but will of course be the first owner of the future.
The look of the car is only advertised through several sketches that point to extremely aerodynamic lines, and will be made of new materials with an unlimited number of options to individualize the look.
In addition to announcing that Speedtail will be the fastest model of this company, McLaren has promised and will be the most luxurious up here, becoming a worthy competitor to Bugatti Chiron.
As the F1 and Speedtail will be bartered, there will be a hybrid drive of petrol and electric handsets like P1.
The production of McLaren Speedway will start at the end of 2019.
