Looks like Google is updating its virtual assistant almost every Sunday, which is not surprising given the ubiquity of mobile phone companies and services.
This time the Google assistant has the opportunity to make a video call. If you ask the wizard to start a video call with one of your contacts, the service will automatically redirect you to the Duo application. If you have not installed Duo, the wizard will try to use Google Hangouts.
As is the case with most new features that are constantly coming to Google Assistant, these may not be available to all users.
The video call integration is available for Android and iOS version of the Google Assistant.
