Representatives of the company "Belgrade on the Water" and the Italian construction company "Picaroti" signed a contract for the construction of the "Belgrade Tower" on the banks of the Sava River. This 40-storey building will be the highest in Serbia and will be completed in 2021.

Construction work on the Belgrade tower, from a height of 168 meters, will begin in December this year, the Belgrade water company announced. On the top floor of this building there will be a point of view.

Belgrade water director Nikola Nedeljkovic said the Belgrade Kula would be "a monumental building to emphasize the spirit and beauty" of the Serbian capital.

"This unique building will provide an incomparable lifestyle for citizens and make Belgrade an even more attractive destination," he said.

The representative of Picaroti, Marko Faroldi, said that this company has been operating for more than 100 years in 20 countries and that it will use its "international knowledge to build the Belgrade tower in a unique way".
