The star does not like Italian food

The Red Star and Napoli match is part of a series of European fights quite common for the Serbian champion with A-series teams. The passions and enthusiasm were over, but the red and white seems in no way to be a "Italian food.

Sir Alex Fergson once said: "When the Italian says that he is on a plate of pasta, I check under the sauce to make sure of his condition. The Italians invented a scam."

This is the case of the red star. The Italians of Lukavi have often been able to set up a clever red-white trap. Throwing games, injured recovery players, and a familiar flattering Italian language that allows you to catch Stars to Heaven players so that they can hit them on the ground after hitting.

Many times, Stella Rossa di Belgrado has burned her tongue to become "Italian dishes", be it a dough, a pizza or spaghetti (Fiorentina, Inter, Milan). Simply, the matches with the Italian clubs are not the Red Star and have brought a lot of joy to his fans. And as history shows, the "higher power" has often been able to mix the fingers of Belgians with Italians.

Just a passage

Calculating all matches played by Red Star with Italian clubs, those of the Cup of Fair Cities and the Mitropa Cup, Crvena Zvezda played 32 games with the Apennine clubs. She won eight times, so many times she was defeated and sixteen times the red and white match ended in defeat.

The Mitropa Cup and the Seychelles Cup are the games that were played in the 1960s and the Zvezda played 12 games with the Italians in both cups, had six wins and the same defeat, and they met Bologna (4 : 2, 1: 2). ), Rome (2: 0, 0: 3), Fiorentina (0: 4, 1: 3), Naples (2: 0, 0: 1), Latium (2: 1, 0: 3) 1, 4: 2 ).

However, if you ignore this game, Crvena Zvezda has met 20 times with Serie A clubs and only celebrated twice! Against Kjevo in the UEFA Cup in the 2002/03 season. (0: 0 and 2: 0) and against Roma in the group stage of the 2005/06 season. when there was 3: 1 in Belgrade. Then only one match was played in the group with the Italians.

If we do not rely on this match, Red Star has traded nine times with the Italians who have decided directly to move to the next round of competition and, from this nine, the Serbian club has managed only once to go further. It was the aforementioned duel with Kev in the UEFA Cup. In Italy, Red Star celebrated with 2: 0 and in Belgrade, there was 0: 0. All other doubles were given to clubs of Italy.

The first official clash between the Red Star and the Italian clubs was in the semi-finals of the 1957/58 Champions Cup. It was only the second season of this competition and the Red Star played well.

The Hungarian MTK, Rapid Herlen (now FK Roda), CSKA Sofia and the duet with the great duo Fiorentina have already passed.

On the third day of April 1958, during the first semi-final match, it was held in front of the JNA stadium in front of 40,000 spectators. It was a generation of red and white led by Dragoslav Šekularac, Kostic Bor, Rajko Mitic, but they were not lucky, they stayed because of Takaca's injury with ten on the field and the Italians celebrated Prini naked in the 88th minute.

Two weeks later, in Florence, no goal was scored and the Italians then lost 100,000 spectators against Real Madrid 2-0 in the grand finale of Santiago Bernabeu.

And rain and fog against the stars

Twice the highest strength was against the Red Star in a row with Italian clubs. For the first time in the quarter-finals of the Champions Cup of the 1980/81 season.

On March 4, 1981, on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the Red Star, whites and whites were in the first match against "Giuseppe Meaci". Domeniko Kaco was able to beat Dragan Simeonović in the 45th minute, but after a superb breakthrough by Miloš Šestić in the 75th minute, Srebrenko Repčić equalized to 1: 1.

In the magazine in Belgrade, everything hit the team led by coach Branko Stankovic. It was raining constantly, playing almost in water polo conditions. By missing the chances of Zvezda, Slavoljub Muslin managed to shake the statue and the winner decided to shoot Karl Murar in the 13th minute. Simeunović managed to refuse a slippery ball, but unfortunately ended up in the net.

Seven years later, the famous double match with Milan in the second round of the Champions Cup followed. In the first match at San Sir, there was 1: 1. Dragan Stojkovic scored a big advantage over Zvezda, but, while the Red Star players were almost delighted, Milan quickly left the center and was leveled by Paolo Virdis.

In Belgrade, on 8 November 1988, the situation was unprecedented. In the second half, a thick fog came down, almost nothing was seen. After the action of Dragan Stojkovic, Dejan Savicevic beat Giovanni Galli in the 53rd minute, but only the luckiest of the northern stand were able to score. There was a pause because the fog did not dissipate.

Tomorrow, on one occasion, Milan defeated Marko van Basten and tied Dragan Stojkovic after a phenomenal action. It was a three-shot carpet, Goran Juric interrupted, Savicevic took the ball in the center, and then sent a long ball past the goal. Stojkovic ran up and sent a strong sweetheart under the cross for an explosion of enthusiasm!

Unfortunately, the penalties were decided and the Italians were better, they won 4: 2. Milan coach Arigo Saki said that MIlan had not won the Champions Cup this year in the final, but in the second round in Belgrade.

Red Star won one of the few victories won by the Italians in the fourth round of the UEFA Cup in the 2005/06 season. It was against the Roma in Belgrade when whites and whites celebrated with 3: 1.

The Romans took the 23rd minute through Šabanija Nonde, but 14 minutes later, Nikola Žigić managed to tie the match with a header near the immediate area.

In the second half, the offensive action of the red star was paying off. Milan Purović was precise in the 78th minute to help Žigić. His shot was fired behind the goalkeeper of the Curia, the goalkeeper of Rome.

Finally, the most beautiful moment was seen in the 86th minute. Nikola Žigić escaped on Philip Mekses, took the ball to the goal, and scored a goal for anals. It was a phenomenal shot at 25 meters. "Marakana" shivered with excitement and Žigić entered the legend as a shooter of one of the most beautiful red and white goals of the European club competitions.

There is a new confrontation with Naples. What is curious is that the Neapolitans are led by a man who, once in the jersey of Milan, led the team in games played in November 1988 in the first fog, then the unfortunate lottery penalty of the recovery was stronger than the Red Star. Milan was perhaps the best in Europe at the time, but the red star showed signs of what happened three years later in Bari.

Sufficient symbols that tonight under Vesuvius, the selected Vladan Milojevic, are trying again to dare the world of football.
