The first official clash between the Red Star and the Italian clubs was in the semi-finals of the 1957/58 Champions Cup. It was only the second season of this competition and the Red Star played well.

On the third day of April 1958, during the first semi-final match, it was held in front of the JNA stadium in front of 40,000 spectators. In Belgrade, on 8 November 1988, the situation was unprecedented. In the second half, a thick fog came down, almost nothing was seen. After the action of Dragan Stojkovic, Dejan Savicevic beat Giovanni Galli in the 53rd minute, but only the luckiest of the northern stand were able to score. There was a pause because the fog did not dissipate.
Tomorrow, on one occasion, Milan defeated Marko van Basten and tied Dragan Stojkovic after a phenomenal action.
