Jelica was born in 1954. She spent her childhood with her mother because her father had left her. He has a half-brother in his father, but he did not even see him, because their father, as Jelica himself said in the interviews, was "a great red mistress".

After completing her second year of high school, Jelica Sretenović enrolled in the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and completed it on schedule. She was the youngest student to complete this faculty.

In addition to studying, Jelica married at age 19. His selector was Miloš Miša Sretenović, one of the founders of the "University Clinical Center". She remains pregnant and gives birth to her daughter Anu. Two months after giving birth, she graduates. After that, the roles started to settle down. The first was in the series "Live Links", followed by the role in the films "Tight Skin", and the most impressive was the character Koke of the series "Better Life", which earned him a regional popularity.

Some people still call it that way. Eleven years after the birth of her daughter Anna, she brought her daughter Olja. Everything seemed ideal in this family, but with the great tragedy that Jelica experienced in 1999, her husband, to whom she was linked, died of heart problems. That year, they had two and a half decades of marriage.

Jelica with 45 other widows, she came out of a difficult time thanks to her role as an actress. The role in the movie "Zona Zamfirova" brought her back to the scene, as well as the character she played in the play "Miss Michael" died. By working on new projects, Jelica has managed to overcome all the misfortunes she has found in her life.

Jelica conquers today the public with new roles and her daughters are great. There is also a grandson who is already of age and who calls himself Milos, according to his grandfather. His daughter and family live in Sweden.
