AFTER the abnormally long silence, the Red Star took the first step to meet the upcoming season. Milan Tomic (45), a former basketball player from Olympiakos and an "eternal" Piraea coach, has arrived in Belgrade today.

The director of the red-and-white Filip Sunturlic welcomed him at the airport. they should soon give an answer to the question of who will lead the star of the first rank after the failure of the past season.

Tomic has spent almost a career playing and coaching full time in Greece (after acquiring Janakopoulos nationality). The Olimpijakos jersey was worn from 1991 to 2004, was part of a generation that brought Olimpijakos the first Euroleague title under the command of Dusan Ivkovic in 1997.
