The reconstruction of Prince Aleksandar Karađorđević Boulevard completed 25 days before the deadline. The August rehabilitation cost 110 million dinars

TRAFFIC on Prince Aleksandar Karađorđević Boulevard was officially released on Friday. The avalanche reconstruction work began on March 28 and was completed 25 days before the official deadline.

– The condition of this street before rehabilitation is the best indicator of how roads have been renovated in the past. When the asphalt was raised, it turned out that there was only ten centimeters of substrate, which is the main reason for the rapid collapse of the pavement – said Goran Vesic, deputy mayor during the tour of the reconstructed road. – The value of the works is 110 million dinars and we should not expect problems in this street over the next 20 years. In addition, the street Ljutica Bogdan was also built in the same way last year

The deputy mayor recalled that the reconstruction of Svetogorska Street, from Takovska to Kondina, begins on Tuesday.

Completed after this renovation, the road will move to the lower part of Takovska Street from George Washington to Jasa Prodanovic. The plan is to begin the reconstruction of Radnicka Street, Marshal Tolbuhin, to Ada Ciganlija's turn on Thursday. The works will last until August 5, while July 20 will begin the rehabilitation of Zrce Street, which will be completed at the end of August. Work in the Liberation Bulevard has been completed and Visnjicka Street, in which they are currently congested, will be commissioned on 10 July.

TROUBLESHOOTING 28, 40 AND 41

will be canceled Due to the work on Svetogorska Street, the public transport lines will be changed from July 10th to July 31st. Trolleybus lines 28, 40 and 41 are abolished: on the Zvezdara – Banjica 2 connection, a 40A bus line will be introduced, which will be transported by trolleybus line 40. Lines 65 and 77 will be transported partially in both directions on March 27, Bulevar despota Stefana, Braće Jugović, Dečani, Tunnel Terazije and other regular routes.
