Seven European consumer groups have taken legal action against Gugla in their country, accusing the giant of stalking users, a violation of EU data protection regulations.

The lawsuits call for the Norwegian Consumer Council's findings that the company has used "a misleading design and misleading information and, as a result, many users agree that this information is subject to constant monitoring ".

Council Member Gro Mete Moen stated that "Gugl" uses extremely detailed and complete personal information, without any legal basis, and that this data comes from manipulation techniques. "

Prosecutions against "Gugla" have been initiated in the Czech Republic, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovenia and Sweden.

They are based on the EU General Regulation on Data Protection, adopted in May.

Google is responsible for monitoring the movement of users in applications built into all "Gugl" accounts, including through the collection of location information.

– Such control is particularly difficult to avoid for mobile phone users with Android operating systems "Samsung" and "Huawei" – notes the Consumer Council of Norway.

According to the website "Stetkanuter", almost 70% of mobile phones in Europe have an "Android" operating system.
