Why were they arrested from the center after Macha's birth?
Snezana Nikolic, head of the Knjazevac social welfare center, said that since the center started working with her family, this family has been perfectly adapted to everyday life and there is nothing to indicate that the family has been able to work. such a tragedy would occur.
– This family was not a beneficiary of the Center for Social Work because she was receiving a pension, a supplement for the care of another person and a parental allowance. However, given their state of health, we regularly visited them until Milica was born with a third child. What happened next will show an investigation, but I claim that the Center for Social Work acted according to the law, "Snezana Nikolic said.
She also added that social workers who had gone home after the hospital invasion as a result of the tragedy had found indescribable chaos.
– Everything was in disarray. We immediately took care of the rest of the two children and we looked after them physically. After that, a temporary guardian was appointed for the children – said Snežana Nikolić, adding that "there was nothing to suggest this state of parents, but also their living space".
Their neighbors then stated that Milica seemed to take good care of her children, but that they did not even know that she had a third child.
Arrest of a nurse 10 months after a tragic event
Nurse Lj.T. she was arrested on Saturday, months after the tragedy, suspected of having worked hard against health, because she had not visited a three-month-old baby who had starved to death. February this year due to poor conditions and negligence.

T. is suspected that between 12 November 2017 and 12 February 2018, a newborn from Knjazevac, who was living with poor parents in extremely difficult conditions and in an abandoned house with two other minor children, is not Is not rendered. Dr. Mihajlo Stupar of the Center for Social Work did not want to comment on the arrest of a nurse, as they say she is not employed in their center.
– All this is done by the health center "Knjazevac" or his department of gynecology. They give an order for the birth of a child on how much and when the baby will go, because our Center for Social Work could not even know that the baby was born – they said of this institution.
However, it is still unclear who decided why the staff of the Center for Social Welfare no longer visits this family which, "because of its condition", has visited the small town of Maša regularly.
The health center "Knjazevac" announced on the occasion of this case a statement stating that there was no accurate information that the nurse employed in their care was arrested for committing a criminal offense.
"This is not accurate information that the nurse, or any other staff member of the Knjazevac health center, was arrested on suspicion of a criminal offense," the statement said.
As the media wrote in February of this year, the nurses had "contact problems with their family" and therefore asked their authorities to release them from the obligation to visit this family.
It is unclear if any of the nurses, or any other person from the health center, has warned the authorities – the MIA or the welfare center, that something is wrong with his family.
The Prosecutor: "He was brought to the hearing"
From the Prosecutor General's Office Zaječar, a department of Knjaževac, a confirmation that Lj. T. was brought to the hearing and released immediately thereafter.
– She was brought to court after being arrested by police on November 24, heard and released. She has not been detained.
